Concrete pools have traditionally been viewed as the most prestigious method of construction. They certainly have their place when indoor bespoke shaped pools are required; however they are resource hungry, requiring a large quantity of materials, in comparison to a panel and liner pool, hence extra costs and a larger carbon footprint on delivery. Also there is no flexibility designed within the shell structure, this is a huge drawback when building in heavy clay soils, which are susceptible to movement. We would only recommend a concrete pool shell for bespoke shaped pools.
The above pictured pool is an old concrete pool, which had cracked and broken its back, and has now been completely refurbished, including a commercial onsite lining with black granite copings and steel surround.
